Learn the basics of little league umpiring for baseball and softball in Beverly

Instructor Bruce Doig of the Beverly Recreation Department will teach the basics necessary to umpire Little League and Girls Softball games. Earn money doing something you enjoy. Open to any boy or girl who will be 13 years old by April 1, 2013. Training includes rules of the game, on-field situations and umpiring mechanics for youth games. All participants receive rulebooks.

At Hip Baby Gear, we thrive to focus on the fun of being a parent. The idea for Strollapalooza was conceived with one basic fundamental. FUN! We wanted an event that would be fun for our customers and their children.
So what can you expect over the weekend. We have given it a theme of the Wizard of Oz this year and will take that theme for the entire weekend. Well here is what we have put together for you!
There will be multiple events held throughout the weekend that will be fun for your little ones to attend. This will include music, dancing, face painting, costume contest, a movie and more... Be sure to check out the events area for full details.

Hunter's Haven Farm offers week long programs in hunt seat riding lessons taught by qualified, licensed instructors. We keep our classes limited to ensure individual attention. Our afternoon starts off with self-guided activities, challenges, or puzzles that lead us to our topic for the day. As a group, we'll observe, investigate, and compare wildlife, their adaptations, and the changes that they undergo each season. Participants may play the role of a zoologist, a naturalist, or even an Arctic explorer throughout this series. Each experience will leave your young scientist eager for the next session.

The whole family can set sail with a ship full of wacky pirates for an on stage summer camp experience. The hilarity unfolds as the buccaneers once again set out on an adventure in search of their missing captain. Wise-cracking fish and a story-telling turtle help reveal the mystery of spell-casting mermaids, dancing witch-doctors, and juggling monkeys on Coconut Island. The Vernal Pools at Agassiz Rock in Manchester are teeming with Spring peepers.

This introduction to vernal ponds is presented by Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team and sponsored by The Trustees of Reservations's Ravenswood Park.  Vernal pools are crucial to the survival of salamanders and wood frogs. Join Ravenswood Park as we explore the pools at Agassiz Rock reservation, and learn how you can certify and protect vernal pools. Vernal Pool Certification is a state certification of vernal pools, which have not been covered in the wetlands act, but serve an important roll in wetlands and are crucial to survival for a number of species.
