The Sawyer Free Library presents Butterflies of the World with Gloucester butterfly expert Kim Smith. Kids ages 5 and up will learn all about the collection owned by the Sawyer Free Library. Kids will make a butterfly craft too.

Tour the Newburyport Coast Guard station as part of Yankee Homecoming

The Coast Guard Station in Newburyport stands as a testament to over 100 years of service to the opening of the Merrimack River and the coastal regions from the North Shore to Portsmouth, NH. All are invited for a special tour of the facility and get a close-up look at the inner workings of this very busy station.

children’s music program at Manchester Ma Library

Tom Sieling, widely acclaimed singer and songwriter from Newfield, New York, will perform a free, very participatory children’s music program called “Bugs, Baboons, and Story Tunes!” at the Manchester Public Library. This show consists of humorous children’s songs that are guaranteed to engage all ages.

This popular exhibit was extended until August 20th! 'Innocence Captured: Child Portrait Photographs 1884-1910' is an interesting look at late 19th/early 20th century children's portraiture and photography tools.

The Beverly Farmers' Market now has story time under the tree for kids

The Beverly Farmers' Market now has story time under the tree for kids every half hour (as the kids gather) between 4:00 and 5:30. Odell Park is a safe place for families to spend some time shopping, picnicking, listening to music, hula hooping, and listening to stories.  Free water is available at the managers' tent, as well as a hand washing station for when the kids ready to eat those delicious blueberries!
