Books are just the beginning of what kids and families will discover at the Boston Book Festival. Families will enjoy free programs for kids and families, including music, dance, visual arts, science & technology, and much more!

The American Yach Club offers youth sailing programs for kid ages 9-18 on the waters of Joppa Flats in Newburyport Massachusetts!
Students may sign up for any number or combination of one week sessions including morning sessions (AM), afternoon sessions (PM), or both (AM & PM).  Skills are built at the student’s pace through one session or through multiple sessions over the summer program. This popular program fills up quickly!

Girls Rock Boston is a week long summer program for girls ages 8 to 17 working to empower and encourage positive self esteem through music education and performance. During each session, girls receive instrument instruction (guitar, bass, drums, vocals or keyboards), form a band, write an original song, and perform at a sold out rock venue- in just one week. As well as band formations, band coaching, and band practice- we include workshops such as self- defense, songwriting, women in rock history and screen printing. Camp Invention® is a nationally acclaimed summer program where STEM concepts come to life. Kids ages 10-18 will learn about song writing and composition at the Music Asylum Summer Songwriting workshops!
The Music Asylum offers an annual Summer Songwriting Session. Learn the art of lyric writing, prosody, chord structures, harmony, song form, rhythm and groove. Students will leave having written at least one song for themselves, will collaborate with other students on song production, and will leave with a great sense of the complexities and joys of creating music.

La Vida's Adirondack Leadership Program (ALP) is a wilderness expedition for ages 15-18. On this wilderness adventure, participants will backpack or canoe amidst the beautiful Adirondack Park in upstate New York, learn outdoor camping skills, connect with other students, develop their faith and gain leadership skills. Throughout the expedition, they will have the opportunity to learn what their strengths are and build a foundation for leadership that will prepare them for the future.
