Bring your stuffed animal friends to this fun event! Join us as we learn about taking care of animals with the creators of the children's book Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals! Jennifer Welborn & Rozillia Mh will read their book & show us how to give our stuffies a check up with a mini veterinarian kit which children can take home with them.
Poetry without Paperis a contest for children, tween and teens who live in Gloucester or attend Gloucester schools! Submit an original poem on any theme. Submission dates are March 1-April 30. Winners will be chosen from each age group: high school, middle school, and elementary school.
Kids of all ages! Enjoy a Spring Scavenger Hunt in Children's Room. If they find all of the scavenger hunt items, they can choose a shiny prize from the Treasure Chest! Ages 4 - 11. Kids, read to Bentley, our therapy dog friend from B.O.N.E.S.! Bring some books with you or select them from the Children's Room to read to our friendly dog buddy. You'll have 15 minutes to read to our canine companion, who will happily enjoy your stories. This helps to build reading fluency and confidence! Great for reluctant readers! One child per time slot, please.
