Yetti Frenkel, of the fame is returning to the Manchester Public Library with a new writing series of workshops for ages 10-16.
'A Kids' Summer Guide to Cape Ann' is coming soon to a Cape Ann business, library or information booth near you! Inside you'll find a fairly extensive directory of camps and summer programs for kids that live in the towns that make up the Cape Ann area - Essex, Gloucester, Manchester and Rockport.
The North Shore of Massachusetts is filled with talented artists and here in Gloucester we are fortunate that many make their services available to families. Cape Ann Art Haven has a rich and wonderful program to connect these artists to provide opportunities to add some art to our kids lives.
Last spring, the DCR launched the Healthy Heart Trails initiative to promote better health. This initiative challenges Massachusetts residents to walk 75 miles before Labor Day - about a mile a day. The hope was that Massachusetts residents would make walking these trails part of their regular exercise routine.
