The Long Hill Flower Fields need volunteers to help with the PYO flower programs and to staff their booth at the Beverly Farmers' Market. Teens and adults can fulfill their community service obligation with these programs. Come volunteer at this beautiful location and help preserve a wonderful community resource! This program is for pre-K level. This is a basic introduction to the forest and a short hike to acclimate children to the outdoors. Recommend bringing water, insect repellent, sun screen, binoculars and camera.
For one weekend every June, the barns at the Cox Reservation are transformed with color and form as paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolor, monoprints, ceramics and pottery, and sculpture in wood and iron adorn the walls, window sills, tables, stairs and every nook and cranny of our rustic barns. Artists generously donate 50% of their sales to support the land conservation mission of Essex County Greenbelt Association.

Greyhounds at the library! Rescue organization Greyhound Friends will be coming to the Newburyport Public Library, and they are bringing four greyhounds for us to meet! Learn about the greyhound breed, the history of greyhound racing, and what it's like to adopt a former racing greyhound. Of course, everyone will get to pet and interact with the greyhounds, so bring your cameras! All ages are welcome: kids, teens and adults.

History Alive Summer programs are unique to the North Shore, giving children the opportunity to step back and experience life, learning, and play during different periods in history. Children will have fun pitching a Civil War dog tent, cooking authentic foods, reenacting historic events, or playing games of the period.

We've extended our garden to bring even MORE fresh flowers to the community this year! We have a range of projects available for all abilities, from planting, weeding, and staking, to deadheading, seeding, labeling, and much more. Dig in and have fun with a great group of fellow volunteers!
