Riverbend Conservation Area and River Road Trail

River Road trail is 0.9 miles of a level riverside trail with loops at the Indian River Bridge.  Riverbend Trails climb up through old orchard and dense woods, connecting to Page School or to the upper Indian River.  There is a side trail along the Indian River.  River Road trail may be wet during very high tides.

Danvers Rail Trail

The Rail Trail follows an old rail line that runs in a north-south direction connecting Peabody to Wenham. It is the southernmost section of the regional Border to Boston trail from Danvers to Salisbury. The route of the rail trail winds from the Peabody line south of Andover Street, through the heart of downtown Danvers with the new Swampwalk and the Wenham and Topsfield trail to the north.

Camp Kent Envrionmental Center

The Camp Kent Environmental Center (CKEC) is a nature center and 16 -acre parcel of conservation land established by the Town of Amesbury in 1997. CKEC is connected to the adjacent Powow River Conservation Area and Lake Gardener.

Boxford State Forest

Boxford State Forest crosses the borders of Middleton, North Andover and Boxford Massachusetts.  It makes up part of a larger conservation area that includes the John C. Phillips Wildlife Sanctuary, Lands owned by the Essex County Greenbelt Association (Bald Hill East , Bald Hill West), and the State Park itself.  Because of it's size and placement there are many access points to the park, off of Liberty street in Middleton, Parking at Forest Street in North Andover, and more access and parking in Boxford on Middleton Street and Towne Road.  See the attached map for details.

John C. Phillips Wildlife Sanctuary

This wildlife sanctuary, also known as the Boxford Wildlife Sanctuary, abuts Boxford State Forest and is part of a larger conservation area managed by the State DCR and the Essex County Greenbelt Association. See Boxford State Forest for a trail map.
