Experience the life and art of medieval Europe w/ performances, demonstrations

Peabody Essex Museum hosts a weekend festival full of fun events and activities geared to make you experience life of medieval Europe. Using performances, demonstrations and hands on activities, families will learn about medieval life and the people who lived during that time in Europe.

You'll also enjoy great food and help in fundraising along the way!

Pumpkin Carving Contest!

Cape Ann Art Haven is hosting a FREE Pumpkin Carving Party - come create art wit

All ages are welcome for our Fifth Annual Pumpkin Carving contest on Saturday the 27th! There will be some fall snacks, beautiful pumpkins to be carved, and great prizes for the winning pumpkins (both kids and adults).

Imagine, Sing, & Learn 10D: Shorebirds on the Beach

Kids will learn about shorebirds and how they use the beach habitat at ISL

This parent/child program is designed for the creative, curious, and active preschooler. Each 90-minute session offers a structured series of activities including original songs, movement, dramatic play, hands-on science, and a thematic snack. You'll receive coloring pages, song lyrics, vocabulary, a fun fact sheet, and a suggested reading list in an electronic goody bag! This week we'll focus on shorebirds and the beach habitat!

Kids' Halloween Party at Ipswich Museum

The Ipswich Museum is having a Halloween party for kids!

Kids and their families are invited to the Ipswich Museum for an afternoon of Halloween fun!  There's going to be a haunted house, scary stories, scarecrow building, crafts, snacks and a costume parade, so dress up and come for the fun!

Essex Clam Fest 2012

Enjoy food, live music and all kinds of family fun at the Essex Clam Fest!

There's no better place in New England to eat clams than Essex, Massachusetts! Now in its 29th year, this local festival takes place in Memorial Park in downtown Essex boasts 40 to 50 food, craft, and local product vendors. The event includes the Clam Chowder Tasting, a competition that gives area restaurants the chance to vie for the title of serving the best chowder on Cape Ann.

Rockport Harvest Fest

Food, Music, art and fun come together for a great family time in Rockport MA

The Rockport HarvestFest is a family-focused event featuring live music, kids' art activities, a showcase for non-profits and community organizations, Scarecrow Stroll in Rockport and the centerpiece of the festival: the Local Fare Fair, which highlights our amazing Cape Ann and New England food producers. Pumpkin Day at Cogswell's Grant 2012

Pumpkin Day at Cogswell Grant is a wonderful fall afternoon event!

Celebrate the arrival of Fall. Enjoy hay wagon rides through the field in search of the perfect pumpkin, compete in a pumpkin pie-eating contest, do crafts, play games, and try cider pressing! Enjoy hot mulled apple cider and homemade pumpkin pie. The house is open for tours of one of the country's most celebrated collections of American folk art.

Pumpkin Decorating at NPL

You bring the pumpkin and we'll supply the fun and the tools to decorate it!

Get in the Halloween spirit by bringing in a pumpkin and decorating it. We'll supply the materials and refreshments; you supply the pumpkin. All ages and families welcome. Choose from two sessions, one starts at 10 am and the other at 11 am.
