As part of COASTSWEEP Beach Cleanup, volunteers are encouraged to come to Nahant Beach Reservation to help in the statewide effort to keep our coastline clean along the shore in Lynn and Nahant Massachusetts. Trash collected will be measured and analyzed, and the data will be sent to Washington DC to aid the government in creating legislation to minimize trash in our oceans!
Join Seaside Sustainability for a COASTSWEEP clean up of Good Harbor Beach from 9-11am on Saturday, October 21! What to Bring: Appropriate clothes for being on the coast, hat, sunscreen, water, snack, thin gloves optional, hand sanitizer, and a friend or two! The Salem Chamber of Commerce and City of Salem Department of Sustainability and Resiliency are collaborating to co-host a Living Green Expo that will be held on Saturday, May 13th from 10AM - 1PM. The expo will bring together green industry professionals and consumers from the Greater Boston & North Shore regions to discuss products, services and information that encourage healthier, more sustainable consumption and lifestyles for businesses and families. We will be holding the Expo both inside and outside of Old Town Hall, 32 Derby Square.
Landmark School is hosting a community Electronics Recycling event (Saturday, May 6 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) for friends and neighbors to be able to dispose of their broken or unwanted electronics responsibly. The event is a community service fundraiser so a small fee will be charged for donated electronics. Laptops, cell phones, PCs, stereos, fans, blenders, air conditioners, printers, monitors, small refrigerators, microwaves—anything with a plug! Spread the word.
NBPT Cornhole and the Merrimack River Watershed Council present the 1st Annual "Save Our River Festival". This event will take place at the outdoor pavilion of the Newburyport Elks, and will feature a Giant Cornhole Tournament, BBQ, a cash bar, live music, an art show, games and more. This will be a family friendly event for all ages, and will help to raise money for the Merrimack River Watershed Council (MWRC).

Thousands of birders visit the rugged coast of Cape Ann and scan the adjacent waters hoping to spot some of the unusual and highly sought-after seabirds that spend the winter months just offshore. The best way to get to see these birds and experience them up close is to visit them in their natural habitat- on the ocean!
