Join Aisha Chodat for a week of fun and discovery at The Firehouse. We'll spend four hours a day in the Firehouse theater working on storytelling, improv, singing and general silliness. Just bring a snack and your imagination and we promise a perfect school vacation week. For ages 7-12.
Wenham Museum hosts a fun presentation by Wingmasters during February Vacation! Come see live owls up close in this indoor presentation that will introduce you to different owls that live in our region. We’ll discuss the special features these birds have and we’ll talk about how they hunt, what they eat, and their amazing vision, hearing, and feathers.
Come to the Ipswich Performing Arts Center for a showing of How to Train Your Dragon! This fundraiser showing is hosted by the Ipswich Middle School. Everybody is welcome and Proceeds help the middle school raise money for their trip to compete in "Music in the Parks" this spring. Refreshments will be available. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Looking for an outdoor activity during school vacation? Come build snow forts with us! We'll have a contest to determine the best winter architects - which igloo is the most structurally sound? The most creative? The one that best represents Ipswich history? The one that best fits the Crane Estate landscape? At the end of the day we'll enjoy some hot chocolate to warm ourselves. Please note: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather to maximize comfort and minimize misery! Water is always good to have along.

Girls must attend all 3 days of thei Febraury Vacation workshop, where participants will nurture their interests in any or all of the STEM subjects - Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. Preregistration and a signed permission slip is required for this FREE program.
Maritime Gloucester invites kids to a vacation week session where they'll make a 'Rube Goldberg' machine - part of a week full of educational sessions during February vacation! Cartoonist Rube Goldberg was known for drawing complex yet impractical machines, involving multiple steps to accomplish simple tasks. After looking at Goldberg’s humorous comics for inspiration, students will engineer a Rube Goldberg machine. Using marbles, Lego bricks, wooden blocks, dominoes, and much more, we’ll build and test intricate machines as we learn about energy, momentum, and engineering.

Maritime Gloucester invites kids in pre-k through first grade to a vacation week session about marine skeletons - part of a week full of educational sessions during February vacation! What supports a fish, whale, or sea turtle as it swims through the ocean? Its skeleton! We will learn all about the skeletons of sea creatures working with some fun pasta shapes. Kids will create their own sea creature skeletons to take home! We’ll learn about more about skeleton sizes by comparing fish and giant whale bones.
