The largest free folk festival in the nation, with continuous music on six outdoor stages, takes place July 27-29, 2012 in downtown Lowell, Massachusetts. Beverly Homecoming was first celebrated in 1966, making 2012 the 47th annual celebration. The week is just around the corner, and the Homecoming Committee is expecting record crowds. Planning for the 2012 week-long event began just as last year's fireworks went off, and more fun is planned.

The Lucky Duck Derby, hosted by Newburyport Youth Services, is a family and community event. Don’t be a Lame Duck, join the fun! Participants will 'sponsor' ducks. Children will receive a 'Duckie Certificate' and be able to name their ducks. Up to 2,000 rubber duckies will be numbered and placed in the Bartlet Mall pond. The Big Duck will head out in a row boat and randomly pick the winning ducks!
The group of seventeen galleries that participate in this popular art-focused event have expanded the schedule to a full weekend of gallery activities in 2012. The increased interest in the 2011 ArtWalk led to this positive change. Also new this year will be bright new ArtWalk banners and location signs...Enjoy!

There's a lot going during the Harvest Festival on Middle Street in Gloucester! Come to the Middle Street Harvest Festival for live music, museum tours, the Thanksgiving Cape Ann Farmers Market, a craft fair and chowder luncheon, story time and crafts for the kids, tours of the Gloucester Fire Station and more! A benefit concert will take place to raise funds for the Grace Center at Trinity Congregational Church of Gloucester.
