Highland Street has the North Shore covered for North Shore Kids and families.

The Highland Street Foundation invites Massachusetts residents and tourists to visit designated cultural attractions every Friday this summer with free admission. You do not need to register or obtain a ticket. Just show up and enjoy!

Museum of Fine Arts Boston - Family Fun in Massachusetts

Friends of the Ipswich Library Book Sale: Saturday

Funds from the Ipswich Library Book Sale go to fund programs and materials

Ipswich Museum will host the Friends of the Ipswich Library Book Sale this year during Olde Ipswich Days.  The large selection will include hardcover and paperback books for children and adults, CD's and videos priced at fifty cents and $1. Proceeds will benefit library materials and programs, museum passes, and scholarships.

KNEX Colossal Construction Children's Museum of NH

KNEX Colossal Construction is a limited time engagement at CMNH

The Children's Museum of NH is offering a special limited-time interactive exhibit this summer called Colossal Construction. From July 16 - September 2, families can explore this new maker-space to build and create using thousands of K'nex building pieces and other materials. There will be daily challenges and opportunities to add onto community construction projects like roller coasters or build something completely new. There will also be building activities that use other kinds of materials. All of these activities are included with paid admission ($9 adults/children, $8 seniors) and free for museum members.

Kids can celebrate Spiders at the Harvard Museum of Natural History.

The amazing Spider-Man has his own spider-sense, and now you can test yours! Get ready for the opening of The Amazing Spider-Man movie by taking on the Spider-Sense! Scavenger Hunt. Delve into the amazing world of spiders and spider-like animals from around the globe by picking up a Spider-Sense! guide and map at the museum front desk.

Father's Day at Children's Museum of NH

Fathers get FREE admission on Father's Day at the Children's Museum of NH

In honor of Father’s Day, the Children's Museum of New Hampshire is offering free admission for all fathers and grandfathers on Sunday, June 17 from 12-5 pm. There will also be a special gift-making activity for children who visit on Father’s Day to make a present for the special guy in their lives. This activity is included with paid admission ($9 each for children and adults) and free for Children’s Museum members.

Family Painting Workshop at the Ipswich Museum

'Ipswich Women in the Arts' is the focus of this family art workshop at the Ipsw

Ipswich Museum Educator, Stacey Fraser-deHaan, hosts a family workshop complementing the summer exhibit, “Ipswich Women in the Arts".   Participants will tour the Heard House and learn about its last resident, Alice “Elsie” Heard and her artwork.  Then, workshop participants will attempt to copy works from the exhibit, just as Elsie and other female artists of the 19th and 20th century copied the works of famous painters.
