Maritime Gloucester and Cape Ann Museum is collaborate for a fun Trails & Sails 2018 event! Following a mid-day sea serpent sculpture parade from the Cape Ann Museum to Maritime Gloucester, families will create mash-up “sea monsters” with inspiration from the creatures in the newly renovated Sea Pocket Aquarium. This event is free and open to the public.
Note: Due to the weather, these events have been postponed to Labor Day Monday. The Mayor's Race is a major part of the Gloucester Schooner Festival 2018, where participating schooners in the weekend activities compete for for the Esperanto Cup, Ned Cameron Trophy and Betty Ramsey Trophy off Eastern Point and East Gloucester.
Friends of Newburyport Trees invites you to a celebration of our city's trees. We will have a preschool activity, snack-time, and a gift to take home. Siblings are welcome. Please bring a snack and a blanket to sit on.

The annual Memorial Day parade in Gloucester forms at 8:45 and begins at Monday at 9 a.m. at Gloucester High School . All veterans are encouraged to participate, joining members of AMVETS, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and the Disabled American Veterans. The parade will march down Centennial Avenue to Grant Circle where the main ceremony will be held at the WWII memorial and then return to the high school for a Vietnam memorial ceremony dollowed by a luncheon at the Veterans Center on Emerson Avenue.

Memorial Day in Wenham, Massachusetts is as foillows:
- 11:45am: Decoration Ceremony at the Alan B. Cheeseman Memorial hosted by the American Legion.
- 1:00pm: There will be a 'Salute to Colors' ceremony at the American Legion Headquarters followed by a parade downtown. The parade begins on School Street and follows to Perkins, Bruce, Arbor and Main streets. The parade will stop at the Civil War Monument, then proceed to the cemetery for another ceremony and dedication. Light refreshments will follow.
Come on down to the Essex Shipbuilding Museum for Salty Dog Day - a fun celebration of the long history of dogs in the maritime trades! This family event is a wonderful opportunity to wander around the Museum and have fun with your family and pets! Salty Dog Day features water rescue demonstrations, an agility course, a costume parade, vendors, hot dogs and more!
Andover's annual Memorial Day Parade will be on Monday, May 27th. There will be a collation at the Doherty Middle School cafeteria at 11:30 A.M. for all parade participants. As per custom, no political activity can be accommodated in and during the parade. The route leads from the intersection of Elm and Florence Streets to Main Street, to Punchard Avenue, Bartlet Street and ends at The Park. In the event of heavy rain, all observances will be held inside the Memorial Auditorium.

Come to Downtown Marblehead to find out all about it, witness flyovers by Marine Corp aircraft past and present and get up close and personal with Marine Corp helicopters and meet their crews! On Saturday there will be a parade for the enjoyment of all!
