Boston Ballet presents an all new production of Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker, November 23 – December 30, 2012 at The Boston Opera House.
New England’s #1 holiday tradition returns to the stage with exquisite new sets and costumes by award-winning designer Robert Perdziola. This world premiere production encompasses the beauty and magic of the traditional Nutcracker story with revised scenes and choreography by Mikko Nissinen. With 250 Boston Ballet School students participating in the production this is a holiday classic for the whole family.

Citi Performing Arts Center presents the critically acclaimed, record-breaking Broadway musical production Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical at the Citi Wang Theatre during the 2012 holiday season.

The classic, whimsical tale will enchant audiences Friday, November 23 through Sunday, December 9.

Long a traditional favorite, Methuen Ballet Ensemble brings the holiday classic, "The Nutcracker" to Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport, Massachusetts just in time to kick off your holiday season.  Come to a family friendly matinee geared towards families with young children who want to experience the magic of the clasiic holiday tradition or join the cast for a gala reception which will be held in the main lobby of The Firehouse at 6:00 p.m. on November 24th prior to the 7:00 show.

Berklee World Strings, directed by cellist Eugene Friesen, features an international collection of Berklee's most accomplished and promising soloists, chamber players and fiddlers in a lively program that will include new compositions and arrangements from a wide variety of the world’s music. With a repertoire drawn from Celtic, bluegrass, South American, Arabic, Gypsy, jazz, and classical styles, Berklee World Strings redefines the traditional string orchestra with bright melodies, dance rhythms, improvisation and sparkling interplay.

Come to Marblehead for North Pole Idol - a contest to see who has what it takes to win a $500 cash prize with their voice! This live performance competition will take place at The Holidays Are Grand! at the end of November - part of the Marblehead Christmas Walk.  Contestants will be chosen by auditioning live or online, so see the instructions below to find out how you can audition!

The Yo-Yo People entertain with a spin and a twist on classic yoyoing! Come to the Firehouse Center for the Arts to experience a full show of yo yo tricks that is sure to entertain? This husband and wife duo bring back that nostalgic toy, reminding you of old favorite tricks such as Walk the Dog and Rock the Baby, then amazing you with new and bizarre tricks, such as Boingy-Boingy and Iron Whip!

Grab your crew and join us for a fun Marblehead Christmas Walk event right in the center of town! We'll be filling the National Grand Bank Parking Lot with an afternoon full of your favorite local performers, great food and a competition to see who has the best voice in Marblehead!

Rockport Music is proud to present a Free performance by Master Drummer Sowah Mensah. Mr. Mensah is a Master Drummer, professor and composer who performs music from Ghana.  He made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2000 as a soloist in David Fanshaw’s African Sanctus, and has released multiple albums with tremendous success. All are invited to this FREE community event!
