After the "fly away" success of Peter Pan earlier this year, the Ipswich Middle School theatre department is taking to the skies again in James and the Giant Peach. This fantasy adventure for children is based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl, and adapted for the stage by Richard R. George.

Celebrate the Year of the Dog with traditional Chinese performing arts at the Dolan Performing Arts Center. In an energetic hour-long show by Boston's Chinese Folk Art Workshop , a variety of traditional Chinese folk arts will be showcased including the Dragon Dance, Lion Dance, Taiwanese Drums, Chinese yoyo and Folk Dance. Afterwards, everyone will have the opportunity to try out some of the dances and folk arts.

Ipswich Middle School performs Peter Pan, Jr. Join the fun as Peter Pan and his lost boys, a band of Brave Girls and a ship full of Pirates retell this modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn't grow up... Come see this beloved musical story brought to life by the Ipswich Middle School theatre department.

Performed by the Mud Eye Puppet Company, Hank Dave's Thoreau Down is an all-ages puppet show following the adventures of 8-year-old Jazzmine, who journeys to magical lands with Henry David Thoreau. Wally the Walrus will also make an appearance, once again coming face-to-face and tooth-to-tooth with the challenges of oral hygiene. And if we are lucky, the brave adventurers from the Space Betterment Foundation will take us with them on a new journey to a better space. ​
