Essex County Greenbelt Association will host the fourth annual road cycle event to raise funds for conservation efforts on the North Shore! Cycling enthusiasts of all abilities can ride through some of Essex County’s most beautiful landscapes in this annual road cycle event to benefit local land conservation. Whether a seasoned road cyclist or a beginner, you can enjoy at your own pace one of three routes offered by Tour de Greenbelt: a half-century (50 miles) and a shorter route (25 miles), and new this year, a 37-mile Gravel Grinder Route. The routes showcase more than 50 of Greenbelt’s exquisite conserved properties.
Magnolia’s 42nd Annual Road Race is a 5k Race to be held rain or shine along a beautiful, scenic route in Magnolia. A 1k Walk/Fun Run will appeal to kids and those not capable of completing the 5k. All proceeds from the races go to the Magnolia Library.
Join Tony Toledo for this Fundraiser for Beverly's Homecoming Event. Build your own seaworthy cardboard boat, launch the boat at Lynch Park and race to the finish, or at least see how long you stay afloat! $10 entry fee suggested
Its the Beverly Yankee Homecoming 5K Road Race! You are almost guaranteed to see someone you know at or around the competition. The flat course meanders through ocean side neigborhoods of Bevelry with a fast, picturesque finish. Neighbors line the streets to cheer runners on. Proceeds from the race benefit North Shore YMCA programs, camps, and other great services offered by the Y! Fun run at 5:30pm. Post Race Awards, music, photos refreshments and more.
The Newbuyrport Yankee Homecoming Bed Race is an annual event in Newburyport hosted by the Lions Club of Newburyport. The race is a ¼ mile team sprint down Federal Street to the finish line. Each team consists of 3 pushers, 2 pullers and a 'sleeper', and the goal is to get to the finish line with the bed and sleeper in the fastest time! This is a fun event for the communityr and always draws a big crowd. Come cheer on your favorite team, or just watch the fun! Funds raised will go to Lions Club charities.
Since 1960, the Yankee Homecoming Road Race has been inviting runners and athletes of all ages to run through the heart of Newburyport. Imagine a beautiful summer evening in the beautiful town of Newburyport, MA. Each year, hundreds of runners in both the 10M and 5K enjoy a breathtaking course through the bucolic seaside town, running along the ocean for several miles before winding through a state park and charming New England neighborhoods. The Yankee Homecoming 10M and 5K are truly picture perfect.
Join the fun of the 3rd Annual Kayak and Paddle Board River Race. Participants will launch at Cashman Park boat ramp off Merrimac Street. The contestants will paddle up River at low tide/slack tide around Ram Island, Carr Island, Deer Island and back to Cashman Park with the out going tide, 4.6 miles.
This race offers both a 5K and a 10K race. The 10K distance is part of the 2018 New England Running Company Trail Series. The race course winds through the beautiful wooded hills behind the Pingree School. Race will start and parking will be at the parking lot behind the Pingree School. Hop aboard one of three Essex-built schooners and take part in a fun evening of friendly competition that raises funds to benefit the care and stabilization of the Essex-built schooner Evelina M. Goulart. Join the crew of Schooner Thomas E. Lannon, Schooner Ardelle or and the museum's flagship Lewis H. Story. Activities include: sail raising exercises, sailing around a marked course, man overboard drills, salty songwriting (extra credit for instrumentation), knot tying, best photo competition, and whatever else the captains can dream up!
