SALEM'S CHIPTUNE, ELECTRONICA & NOISE EXTRAVAGANZA. The 7th event combining the skills of local vj's, dj's & live electronic musicians. The extravaganza’s purpose is: “to showcase talent right here in Salem, the North Shore & Boston. To give a stage for new music that might otherwise be overlooked by the mainstream.”

Join Historic New England and the North Shore Old Car Club for the Annual Car Meet, where vintage and antique vehicles are displayed on historic Chestnut Street. See the Phillips family’s collection of carriages, two Pierce-Arrows, and a Model A Ford.
Come listen to some great music by two bands made up of Salem residents and others from Grade 7 through adult, under the direction of Cynthia Napierkowski, director of the Salem High School Band. Event takes place at the Salem Willows Shell, with the Salem High School Auditorium serving as a rain location.
Salem Heritage Days offer a wonderful way for Salem residents and visitors to connect with Salem’s history, art, and cultural scene. House of Seven Gables invites families to learn about sailing the high seas with a variety of family-friendly and hands-on activities. The Family Navigation Game is offered daily from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Living History Labs hands-on history experience will take place daily from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
The Essex Street Fair is a two-day event held in downtown Salem and is part of the Slemn Heritage Festivities! This years fair includes a new format with a juried arts & crafts open market throughout the weekend. Crafters, artisans and food vendors from in and around Salem will join local merchants in selling their wares on Essex Street & surroundings. This free event will run the length of Essex Street from the Daniel Low Building to the Hawthorne Hotel.
The Salem YMCA will transform the Salem Common into a paradise for children with moon bounces, rides, games and arts & crafts. $5 per child will pay for unlimited rides. For more information contact the Salem YMCA at 978-744-0351. (rain location: Salem High School Field House )
