Middle Street Walk 2012

The lighting of the Lobster Trap Tree is part of Middle Street Walk's finale.

The 17th annual Middle Street Walk is a great way to experience Gloucester's Historic District while having fun with the family. The Festivities begin at 9 am and go all the way though to the end of the Holiday Ball on Saturday evening! Pick up a Schedule of Events and get your walk on!  A whole day of FREE activities, shows and events await for all the members of the family.

Holiday in the Square

Holiday in the Square includes a Tree lighing, Santa and more holiday fun!

Come to Lynn to celebrate the start of the Holiday Season with a tree lighting in Central Square, Santa's arrival, an art craft for the kids and live holiday music performances.  Come take place in the fun and don't forget about the fabulous holiday shopping at Lynn Arts, Inc. and Lynn Museum and Historical Society.

Tree Lighting in Marblehead

Marblehead's tree lighting is always a festive occasion to kick off the holidays

The Tree Lighting will take place at the new National Grand Bank Parking Lot on Pleasant Street in Downtown Marblehead this year!  Enjoy the festive atmosphere and live music as the town lights the yearly Christmas tree! Festivities begin at 6pm with the tree lighting at 7pm.

Santa's Arrival and Tree Lighting in Rockport

Santa Arrives in Rockport Harbor by Lobster Boat to kick off the Holiday Season!

Where else can you see Santa arrive by lobster boat? Santa will arrive at Rockport’s Bradley Wharf (the location of Motif No. One) on Bearskin Neck, following a brisk lobster boat ride across Sandy Bay. Then Santa will climb up onto a Rockport Forest Fire truck and proceed along Bearskin Neck to Dock Square, led by Rockport cub scouts and the strolling Cape Ann Jazz Band.

Marblehead Christmas Walk

Experience the beginning of the holiday season at Marblehead's Christmas Walk!

The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce invites you to Marblehead to enjoy four days of holiday festivities, family events and activities!  Come for one or all four days with highlights that include Santa's arrival by lobster boat, the town tree lighting ceremony, Holiday shopping preview parties, the Christmas Walk Parade, 'Holidays are Grand' live performances, a great raffle with iPads as prizes, and all kinds of family events and activities sponsored by local merchants and organizations!

Tree Lighting Festival at Smolak Farms

Visit North Andover Smolak Farms

Between the smell of fresh-from-the-oven baked goods and hot cocoa, twinkling lights, array of homemade gingerbread houses and the buzz of holiday cheer, there’s no better place south of the North Pole to celebrate the holidays. This year the tradition continues when Smolak Farms kicks off the holiday season with their annual Tree Lighting Festival.

Lighting of the Memory Tree

The Lighting of the Memory Tree is a solemn occasion to remember loved ones.

To kick off the Essex Holiday Festival, people gather in town for the Lighting of the Memory Tree. This special occasion give people to reflect as a group on the loved one that have gone before them. The town’s children’s bell choir performs in the background.

Gloucester's Santa Parade & Tree Lighting

Santa will come to Gloucester to launch the Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting -

The annual Gloucester Holiday Parade has been a Gloucester tradition for many years. Come enjoy the parade, Santa, and the tree lighting at Kent Circle!  Volunteers will line up parade participants at the State Fish Pier on Parker Street at 2:00 PM and will guide them through downtown Gloucester and on to Kent Circle for the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
