Don your wings, grab your crowns or cloaks and come say farewell to our garden season with this celebration of the Flower Fairies and Elves that keep our gardens in bloom all summer long. Borrow a bag to collect natural materials and then build a magical home on the grounds for these beloved creatures. Stop by our craft table and create your very own wand, the single most important tool a fairy or elf can own! Enjoy storytimes starting every half hour that explore fantasy and the magical realm of nature and end the day by leaving a letter of well wishes at the fairy post office.
The Friends of the South End Portsmouth Fairy House Tour--the world's largest fairy house tour--takes place each fall in the historic South End Neighborhood of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Built by creative professionals, community members, and students, these works of imagination and creativity more than 150 fairy houses will be on display on the grounds of Strawbery Banke, the Governor John Langdon House, and in Prescott Park.
