Anna Jaques Hospital and Women’s Health Care is having a baby photo contest to give local parents the chance to have their baby featured in an upcoming Women’s Health Care advertisement and win a $150 Visa gift card. To enter, a parent can submit a photo of their child (or twins/triplets) through the Anna Jaques Hospital Facebook page. All photos submitted will be displayed in an online Baby Photo Gallery on the hospital’s Facebook page.
It's your turn to change the world. That's the theme of the 2013 Google Science Fair! Teens ages 13-18 are encouraged to enter as individuals or in teams of 2 or 3 people. Entries rewuire a Google accoutn and a parental permission, and the deadline will be April 30, 2013.
The Salem Film Fest 2013 is looking for submission from high school individuals or teams for their 5th annual Five Minute Documentary Contest: High School Showcase! Open to all Massachusetts high school students, this showcase celebrates young film makers and their creativity. Entries must be submitted by February 1, 2013 and winners will be announced at a free awards ceremony at Cinema Salem on March 7!
All are invited to enter the 6th Annual Gingerbread Building Contest at the Wenham Museum! Individuals or groups of any experience level and any age are welcome to submit their creation as part of this years contest for display at this year's Gingerbread Express. Wenham Museum is planning a LEGO exhibition in September and they want to show off your LEGO sculpture! Only 63 entires will be accepted and shown on a first come first serve basis, so act now and enter early to ensure yourself a spot. There's some incredible art being created with LEGO, so if you have the artistic ability to pull off a sculpture made entirely out of LEGO, share it with your community!
Students in grades 7 through 12 are invited to submit an original poem of thirty lines or less on any subject for the Library’s third annual Teen Poetry Contest. Submissions will be accepted from March 1 through March 30. This year, all entries must be submitted electronically via a Google form (link below).
The Newburyport Public Library invites patrons of all ages to make marshmallow masterpieces for our 1st Annual Parade of Peeps! Show off your sweet skills by creating a scene in a standard size shoebox with Peeps portraying a piece of literature, a movie, or a famous event. There will be four age categories for the competition: Families (with children up to 5th grade), Tweens (grades 5-8), Teens (grades 9-12), and Adults.
