Volunteers make programs like the children's garden possible at Long Hill Beverl

The Long Hill Flower Fields need volunteers to help with the PYO flower programs and to staff their booth at the Beverly Farmers' Market. Grammy winner Charles Neville joins Henri Smith and his 8 piece band will perform a Mardi Gras concert at the historic Larcom Theatre in Beverly, MA! 50% profits benefit the 4th annual Y TEENS REBUILD NEW ORLEANS trip in April. This will be the fourth year of an extraordinarily successful North Shore YMCA service-learning trip to help rebuild the Katrina-ravaged City. Come see a great show and help this program enrich North Shore Teens by supporting their community service!

Youth Umpire Training

Learn the basics of little league umpiring for baseball and softball in Beverly

Instructor Bruce Doig of the Beverly Recreation Department will teach the basics necessary to umpire Little League and Girls Softball games. Earn money doing something you enjoy. Open to any boy or girl who will be 13 years old by April 1, 2013. Training includes rules of the game, on-field situations and umpiring mechanics for youth games. All participants receive rulebooks.

Addison Gilbert Hospital is having a FREE flu shot clinic. The flu is a contagious, respiratory illness.  If all of us take some precautions, we can help to prevent the spread of influenza this flu season. And it isn't too late to get vaccinated. Get the shot, not the flu!

There is no charge, you do not have to reside in Gloucester, all are welcome.  The clinic is available to those four years of age and older.
