Museum of Science will bring their portable planetarium to Sawyer Free Library

Please join us for the "Night Sky" as the Museum of Science brings their inflatable planetarium to City Hall. Kids can explore the night sky, learn about the stars nearby and get some useful tips for stargazing in the back yard. This program is for Children ages 6 and over. Please register. Fish Forensics

Learn how to identify fish using their DNA at Maritime Gloucester.

Unleash your inner detective with this unique opportunity. Get your hands dirty using state of the art technology to characterize a fish by its DNA and protein structures. Work with our own Mary Kay Taylor, and with Emily Chandler of the Large Pelagics Research Center (http://tunalab.org) to learn the latest techniques for identifying and labeling fish meat. This is our newest marine science class. Due to inquiries it has been opened to curious adults.
