The Stage 284 offers a fun filled vacation week of training: acting, voice, and movement. During this week, students will work through acting exercises and theatre activities and a rehearsal period resulting in a workshop production of the Jungle Book on The Stage 284 mainstage. Taught by Stage 284’s artistic staff, this workshop is not to be missed!

Stiltskin is a new and imaginative take on the classic Grimm’s fairy tale Rumpelstiltskin. Adventure to a far away kingdom torn by magic, fear, and lies where a boy spurned by his father, and a girl who refuses to accept the status quo, are trying to find their way. Stiltskin leads us on an exploration of the true nature of love, honesty, and redemption.
The Hamilton-Wenham Integrated Preschool at Winthrop School announces two open houses for parents that are interested in enrolling their children for the 2017-2018 school year. Open houses are scheduled for Wednesday, February 1 and again on February 8, from 9:00am-10:00am, at Winthrop Elementary School, 325 Bay Road, Hamilton, MA.
Parents are invited to meet the teachers, visit the classrooms, and participate in a short parent-directed questionnaire about their child’s development.
Dads & Donuts is a story time designed especially for dads and children ages 3-5, but siblings are always welcome. This weekend storytime is a great opportunity for dads and their little ones to hear some fun stories. Donuts and drinks provided.
This program will explore performance through exciting themes that will get your kids up and exercising their imaginations. Through creative movement, writing, theater games, props, set and costume, character development and analysis, we will explore the art of drama from the ground up! Starting with Greek Theater and ending with an exploration of Modern Day Musicals, students will get a sense of the work it takes to create a play from start to finish. This hands-on session will culminate in a short performance for family and friends created by your children!
Green Meadows Farm invites families to join Santa on a wagon ride through the woods and over the fields! Craft-making for kids, live music and Chef Alice will be cooking up pizza and grilled cheeses. Of course our farmstand is open and, as always, features holiday decor, gifts, gourmet condiments and our own produce, meats and prepared meals. Free and Open to the Public.
Native speaker Lucy Han will teach basic Chinese at the Hamilton Wenham Public Library. She will introduce aspects of Chinese culture in daily life and in business.
Lucy grew up in China and worked in international companies for 10 years, she is currently a student at Gordon Conwell.

Hamilton Wenham Library hosts an opportunity for children to explore the elements of writing using story maps. We will look at a classic fairytale and then create our own stories.

The seventh annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit will feature more than 50 works by established and emerging New England artists, all displayed on the 100-acre campus of Pingree School from September 3 to October 30, 2016. An opening reception with the artists will be on Sunday, September 11 at 1 p.m. in the school’s library.
Beverly artists/art educators J. David and Barbara Broudo are this year’s honorary chairs.The exhibit is one of the largest outdoor sculpture shows in New England and includes the work of artists whose work is in museums, galleries, and collections throughout the country. Pingree is the only school in the US to host such an expansive outdoor exhibit of sculpture.
