It is often challenging to find a backpack that is ‘cool’, just the right size for all of the school day necessities and fits correctly! Correct fit should be your first priority!
Consider this: If a child carries his or her backpack for only 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon, they will carry it for 2 hours and 30 minutes per week. There are 180 school days in a year. That means the child would carry the backpack for 5,400 minutes or 90 hours per year. It makes sense to choose the right backpack that fits well!
The Hamilton Department of Public Safety will provide tours of the public safety buildings along with displays of all police, fire and ambulance vehicles. There will be live demonstrations and attractions for all ages, including the Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit and a vehicle extrication demonstration by the Hamilton Fire Department. Food and drinks will be provided by Beauport Ambulance, and ice cream will be provided by Cherry Farms Creamery of Danvers.
The Donkey Derby at Myopia Hunt Club in Hamilton is a fun way to raise funds for the equine rescue network. The mission of the event is to ENJOY the day and raise awareness of donkeys: They make great pets! Artcie in Hamilton is accepting enrollment into the Creative Arts Class for ages 5-8. Winter Two, 7 Week session begins February 26 and runs until April 13. By canvassing campuses and talking to students, he finds the most popular educators and then works closely with them to develop engaging talks that inform and inspire their adult students-for-a-day.
This month's book club will be reading 'Who Was Albert Einstein?' and making our very own BLUBBER creations!! This Book Club meets once a month and lets kids use technology, crafts, and imagination to share what they learned in every book in the “Who Was Series”. Celebrate spring's arrival by star gazing with the North Shore Amateur Astronomy ClubGirls in grades K-5 are invited to bring a friend to register for Girl Scouts at the next North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club Star Party! We’ll look at the stars through the large telescopes at High Rock Tower and Observatory and be treated to two hands-on workshops from an amateur astronomer or GSEMA staff.
