The The Trustees of Reservations is pleased to announce the launch of a new Dairy Share Program at Appleton Farms in Ipswich, MA. For the first time since Appleton Farms began milking cows at the farm over ten years ago, the public will be able to purchase a Full or Half Dairy Share with Appleton Farms’ very own farmstead cheese, yogurt, and milk!

Join us and learn how to serve up a hearty holiday dinner that your family with want you to recreate year after year! Some possible offerings include: Curried Pumpkin Soup, Crown Roast of Pork with Sausage Walnut Stuffing & Bacon-Laced Gravy, Sautéed Apple Slices with Spiced Sweet Potato Purée, and Raspberry Almond Torte.
Join us for an open house featuring all our program offerings for preschool age children! The Whale Mobile will be on hand (giant inflatable whale with educational presentation about whales in our New England waters) plus we'll play sports games, get creative with an art project and dramatic play, and even learn about water safety. The event is free to the community.
Come to Marini Farm for a FREE anti-bullying awareness concert! To recognize national anti-bullying month, the farm will come alive with music focused on the theme of ending bullying. Spookley the Square Pumpkin, National Bullying Prevention Month's mascot, will be onsite to teach kids about the disruptive nature of bullying, and to support kids who have been bullied.
Join The Trustees of Reservations for a journey unlike any other in honor of Trails & Sails 2018! Explore the bed of a salt marsh creek at low tide on this guided walk out of Castle Hill on the Crane Estate. One of the few sand-bottom creeks in Essex County, this broad and meandering waterway cuts a perfect footpath through the Great Marsh on its way to Ipswich Bay.
Witness the rhythms and relics of New England's oldest working farm. Walk along bucolic meadows, planted fields, and see our grazing cattle before visiting the historic buildings. See the newly renovated, LEED certified, Old House Visitor Center and go behind the scenes in the dairy area, which is normally closed to the public.
Join The Trustees of Reservations and Essex River Basin Adventures (ERBA) for a guided kayak paddle of Crane Wildlife Refuge in Essex Bay. This introductory paddle teaches participants the basics of sea kayaking before setting out to explore what Yankee Magazine called "the best place to kayak in New England."
