This club is for grades 3-6 and meets every second Friday of the month from 3:45-4:45. Join Miss Audrey for some hands on science fun!
Join us on the front lawn of the library for the cosmic event of the year! We will have a good view of an almost complete eclipse so long as the weather cooperates. We have a limited number of eclipse glasses that will be handed out during the event, 1 per person on a 1st come 1st served bases starting at 3PM. We will stream the full totality eclipse inside on the big screen. Come enjoy a celestial themed snack.
The Pan-Mass Challenge North Shore Kids' Ride will be one of many PMC Kids Rides held in neighborhoods throughout New England and beyond. Kids from Gloucester, Rockport, Beverly, Salem, Ipswich, Manchester, Hamilton-Wenham and other North Shore Towns will be riding in this event. Through the PMC Kids Rides program, nearly 6,000 cyclists between the ages of two and 15 will ride between one and 26 miles in mini-bike-a-thons to raise money for cancer research.
The Festival by the Sea is an annual event hosted by the Manchester Division of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, this all-day extravaganza taps into the long-line of local talent with musical and artistic performers alike. Festival by the Sea is a celebration of the things that are synonymous with Cape Ann in the summertime: Art, Music & Food ! Booths will be spread throughout downtown Manchester and Masconomo Park. Your senses will be inspired by the beautiful art, extraordinary live music and the aromas of delicious, local foods.
Calling all ages! Create a diorama, using those deliciously sweet, marshmallow Peeps as your main characters. Let your imagination run to peeps as you illustrate your favorite book or movie. Bags of peeps are available at the library (while supplies last), or supply your own.
From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. This years' goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. Their staff of experienced and professional exhibitors teach respect and appreciation for exotic and unusual animals. The presentation is hands-on, interactive and can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
