Come to the State Street Landing in Downtown Marblehead to welcome Santa as he arrives by lobster boat! There's plenty of photo ops and Santa's arrival is followed by the Christmas Walk Parade.
The Abbot Public Library invites young children to come in costume to our library party with an indoor parade. There will be Halloween story time, a special Halloween craft, snacks, a treat bag, and a walk around the library building to show costumes and collect treats. The younger winners of the Guess How Much the Pumpkin Weighs will also be announced. Come enjoy our indoor Halloween party!
The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce will host a Trick or Treat night at participating stores throughout town in celebration of Halloween. Take the kids out trick or treating throughout the business district and enjoy sweets and treats, spooky savings & extended shopping hours at participating businesses throughout town.
The Annual Marblehead Museum Pumpkin Illumination in collaboration with the Marblehead Family Fund will take place in the Jeremiah Lee Mansion Gardens. All carved, painted and decorated pumpkins welcome. Judging by town “celebrity” judges for categories with prizes. All the town goblins and ghouls will want to stop by to take a peek at these wild creations during the town-wide Trick or Treat. Musical entertainment provided by Rick Goldin.

Candy, games, costumes and fun! Come join us for our second annual Trunk or Treat Halloween. The festival is free and open to the entire community! Decorate your trunk in your favorite Fall/Halloween theme. Dress up in costume, hand out treats to Children who trick or treat to each vehicle.
The annual Pumpkin Decorating Workshop is back. Bring your child to create their own pumpkin goblin or ghoul. This popular program sells out every year. This workshop is held upstairs at the Museum Galleries 170 Washington Street with the backdrop of the J.O.J. Frost Folk Art Gallery. Take this tour of Abbot Hall as part of Trails & Sails 2017 and explore Marblehead's history in the early American Revolution. WPA Murals showing highlights of the town's history from the 1600s to modern times are a priceless social and artistic heritage from the 1930s national W.P.A. (Works Progress / Projects Administration) program for artists and workers' relief. A wide array of the town’s collections are always on display when Abbot Hall is open.
