Happy as a Clam 5k, Family Fun Run & Wellness Fair

The Happy as a Clam 5k, Family Fun Run & Wellness Fair is a yearly event that's filled with fun for both kids and adults. There will be a 5k road race and a 1 mile family fun run. Whole families are encouraged to do the fun run. There will be medals given to all children under 12 yrs. old and there will be family prizes as well.

During the race there's a family wellness fair featuring local wellness providers including local farms and health and nutrition services. There will also be food and fun activities for the whole family!

The Essex PTO does an amazing job with their events and this is one not to be missed. I remember that an incredibly nice Fireman let B have a look around in the fire engine. I took one of my favorite pictures of him in front of the truck when he was finished exploring. He was beside himself with joy from the experience and I can't wait to attend again this year. The local farms brought chickens and other animals for the kids to handle and there were inflatable bounce houses and other great games for the kids to play.
