The Lives of Stars
A casual glance up at the night sky gives the impression that stars are a permanent part of our world. This, however, could not be further from the truth. Stars are born, live for very long periods of time, and meet their demise in various ways.
This evening's presentation will give you a brief introduction to this branch of astronomy, called stellar evolution. Afterward, gaze up at the stars to contemplate what you have learned while viewing the heavens through the telescopes provided by the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club, weather permitting. The indoor portion of the program runs rain, clouds, or star shine.
