The Folklore of Cape Ann is rich, mysterious and magical, conjuring images of pirates, mermaids, witches, ghost ships and sea serpents! In this Young Playwrights Series, students will immerse themselves in the culture, history and heritage of this beautiful and historic place, Cape Ann.

Students will create their own original musicals and plays, all based on the unique folklore of Cape Ann, both historic and modern, fanciful and down-to-earth. The first in the series, "Song of the Sea," will be produced in Fall, 2011.
