Vintage Baseball Picnic at Spencer Pierce Little Farm
Spend Father’s Day at the farm and enjoy a picnic lunch while watching The Red Sox’s first Cy Young Award winning pitcher Jim "The Gentleman" Lonborg throw the first pitch as the Essex Base Ball Club plays against regional clubs, using 1861 rules.
These fun, historically accurate games feature underhand pitching and no gloves are allowed. Snacks, baseballs, and cards are available for purchase.
- This picnic is free and exclusively for Historic New England members. Nonmembers who wish to attend this picnic must first purchase a membership.
- Grass field seating: bring blankets and lawn chairs
- no reserved seating
- Weather permitting.
- Members can pick up their lunch ticket when they arrive.
