Manchester Public Library invites you to a live animal demonstration by Curious Creatures! Curious Creatures staff of professional exhibitors teach respect and appreciation for exotic and unusual animals.
“Aurora Over the Silk Road” is an interactive workshop created and produced by teen siblings Yasmine and Anthony as the culmination of a homeschooling project. The brother-sister duo founded Yasmanth Inc. to take their presentation on tour around the country. This program is included with paid admission to the Children’s Museum and is free for museum members.
Visit our Sugar Shack at Appleton Farms for a presentation on maple sugaring. Learn about how maple trees are tapped and how sap is collected and turned into maple syrup. This presentation is free for all and runs from 12:00 – 4:00 on Saturdays and Sundays during maple season.
Come to New England Aquarium on Friday mornings where you and your children can hear stories, create art projects, see Live Animal Presentations and have underwater adventures! Meet in the Curious George Discovery Corner on the first floor of the Aquarium. Family Days are open to all Aquarium visitors, and no registration is required.
Miss Lisa of the Joppa Flats Education Center visits Amesbury Public Library each month for a 1 hour program focused on pre-schoolers! Participants will be engaged, excited, and learning about all kinds of things in nature. Each program is an hour long and includes hands-on activities, group role play, and fun take homes. Join Maudslay State Park interpreter on a tour of the former Moseley Family estate. There are so many stories about this beautiful former estate. Join the park interpreter for a three-part history tour series that includes viewing both house sites, the gardens and farm complex area plus the barns to learn more about these parts of the Moseley Family estate.

Families are invited to get acquainted with some of the creatures that will help us welcome springtime at Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team. Rick Roth of the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team will introduce animals from our local area that you may have never seen up close. After the presentation, there will be an optional walk to an easily accessible vernal pond in our own Powder House Hill Reservation which will soon come alive with the sounds of spring!
