Join the The Trustees of Reservations and get outside with your family this Father’s Day and celebrate Dad at the Father’s Day Bluegrass Bash at The Stevens-Coolidge Place. There will be a bluegrass band (Damn Tall Buildings - read below about band) for all to enjoy from 5-7PM. The Ipswich Ale Beer Truck will be on site to indulge in some Fathers Day drinks. Food will also be available to purchase to have a wonderful Fathers Day dinner in a beautiful setting while listening to music. Lawn games will be set up around the grounds, such as bocce, badminton and bean bag toss. Bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets and make this the best Fathers Day ever!

Let’s discover what lives in our tranquil New England ponds by exploring Stearns Pond. Harold Parker has 11 ponds, 9 of which were created by the CCC. Learn their function and importance. Wear appropriate hiking shoes. It is recommended that you bring water, insect repellent and sun screen. Appropriate for all ages, must be able to walk several miles. Meet at Campground Nature Center - - There are numerous bird species that make Harold Parker their home. Join the park interpreter for an easy walk on the park’s trails while identifying birds by sight and sound. Appropriate for all ages. Bring binoculars if you have them.

Join the The Trustees of Reservations the first Saturday of each month at the Stevens-Coolidge Place for coffee and tea, followed by a social walk of the Stevens to Stevens trail, an easy 2.5 mile trip out and back. Come with friends and family, or meet new friends who share a love for nature. We will meet in the parking lot located across from the Stevens Coolidge Place on Chestnut Street.
May is Historic Preservation month and we are celebrating by offering Preservation focused programs throughout the month. May 4th and 14th, join the The Trustees of Reservations with your family for a NEW tour offering of the Stevens-Coolidge House. This hands-on family friendly tour will bring the past to life for you and your child. Stories, photos, and objects allow kids to consider differences and similarities between the past and today.

Join the The Trustees of Reservations or some family fun this April Vacation week! We’ve got activities all week long! On Friday we will close out the week of activities with a scavenger hunt challenge in the gardens. Work together with your child to follow clues through the gardens and discover hidden treasures among the plants.
Join the The Trustees of Reservations for a fun early-Spring gardening session for kid ages 6-9! Introduced with a reading of First Peas to the Table: How Thomas Jefferson Inspired a School Garden by Susan Grigsby, this fun gardening workshop for kids will teach your child about planting and maintaining a pea plant. Your child will get to plant their own pea seeds, decorate their pea pot, learn how to care for their plant, and create a journal to monitor their plant’s growth just like the students in the story.
