U. S. National Park Rangers will be running hands-on activities about how cast iron was made at Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site in the 17th century for Trails & Sails 2016. Come spend the day at Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site. Carve your own mold on the day of the event - first come, first served. Hear the roar of the small furnace and feel the heat of the iron radiating from the ladle as molten iron flows once again into sand molds. It's not something you can see very often!
