IMADA Summer Arts Camp

IMADA has a great offering of Summer Programs for students of the arts!

IMADA is offering students an array of Summer programs focusing on the arts.  Kids in grades 7-12 are invited to use time over the Summer to explore their artistic abilities be it sculpture, painting, film, music or digital and mixed media.  Programs take place at Ipswich High School and other locations beyond the North Shore, so payattention to the specifics for the program you want. Scholarships and grants are available so sign up today!

Art Camps

Summer Art Studio for Middle & High School
Who: Students entering grades 7 through 12
When: July 11-15, 2016; 8:45 am-1 pm
Where: IHS/IMS Art Wing C
Cost: $240 (includes all materials).  Scholarships are available through IMADA.

Music Camps

Junior New England Jazz Camp
Tom Palance leads the Junior Jazz Camp for students entering 6th through 8th grades.
When:  August 1-5, 2016; 9 am-1:30 pm
Where: Ipswich Performing Arts Center
Cost: $250 for week including pizza party on last day. Family discounts available. Tuition is due with registration form.

Northeast Jazz and Recording Camp at SSU
Join Tom Palance and distinguished faculty at Salem State University for a week of jazz and/or recording sessions. For students graduating grades 8 through 12.
When: July 10-15, 2016. Deadline for registration is June 29, 2016.  Register here.
Where: Salem State University, w/overnight option
Cost: Camp fee is $500 for day-only students and $625 for overnight students. Fee includes all course materials as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day.

Girls Rock Boston
Girls Rock Boston is a week long summer program for girls ages 8 to 17 working to empower girls and encourage positive self esteem through music education and performance.  Girls receive instrument instruction (guitar, bass, drums, vocals or keyboards), form a band, write an original song, and perform at a sold out rock venue in just one week. No prior experience necessary.  As well as band formations, band coaching, and band practice, workshops are offered including self-defense, songwriting, women in rock history and screen printing.
When:  Session 1: July 18-23, 2016
            Session 2: August 8-13, 2016
Where:  Sessions will be held at Berklee College of Music’s Fordham Road Facility in Allston, MA..
Cost: $375. A $20 application fee is required with registration form. Scholarships available.

ICAM Video Club Week 2016
ICAM (Ipswich's public and education television channel) hosts a Video Club Week
Who: Students entering grades 7 through 9
When: July 25-29, 2016, 9am-noon
Where: ICAM Studio at Ipswich Town Hall - 25 Green St.
Cost: $125
Limited to 12 students.  Learn: Production, Pre-Production, Camera, Editing, Audio, Green Screen & More!
