Grace Oliver Beach

Grace Oliver Beach, less than one acre in size, is a community beach located off Beacon Street. It is named after the woman who during the 19th century lived in a house on nearby Doliber Point. The water is shallow and the beach well-protected, making it an ideal place for children.

Goldthwait Reservation

The Goldthwait Reservation is a private, non-profit land trust created in 1947 by Dr. Joel Goldthwait to preserve and maintain the natural setting of approximately 12 acres, comprised of Goldthwait Beach, the surrounding land area and salt marsh. At the time, Dr. Goldthwait was being urged to sell this land as parcels for development. The Reservation was his response. The Goldthwait Reservation is for the use of Marblehad residents only.
