Located in historic downtown Salem, Massachusetts, Ames Hall is an ideal venue for weddings, private parties, theatrical and musical performances and other special events. The restoration of Ames Memorial Hall was completed in 2014. Most recently used as a basketball court, the venue was brought back to its “turn of the century” use as a performance venue. The space is used by the YMCA of the North Shore Theatre Co. for performances, as well as other arts programming. The venue, with direct access to Essex Street through a grand entrance staircase, is situated in the heart of Salem’s downtown. Restaurants, shops, hotels and public transportation are all located within minutes walk from this state-of-the-art venue. In addition to the hall itself, additional rooms, lighting, sound equipment, a baby grand piano and experienced staff are available for a fee. Ames Hall is handicapped accessible and air-conditioned. 250 stack-able chairs are included in a rental. Performing Arts Rentals Private Rentals Wedding Rentals.
