Newburyport Youth Services hosts a cardboard boat regatta on the waterfront at Joppa Park! Come join the fun with groups for all ages, team and families. Boats will race the clock in a heat of up to 3 boats from your division. Heats, if needed will be grouped by paddle type. Winners will advance to a final. Boats will paddle out and around a buoy and back to the shore. Boats must be propelled by paddle or hands. Paddles of any kind are allowed. One paddle per person.
Groups by Age:
- Individual Youth (Ages 8-13 single person)
- Individual Adult (Ages 14+, single person)
- Teams (Multiple people ages 8+)
- Family (At least one adult + kids under age 12)
