David Sedaris is an extremely amusing humor writer. With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, Mr.  Sedaris has become one of America’s pre-eminent humor writers. The great skill with which he slices through cultural euphemisms and political correctness proves that Sedaris is a master of satire and one of the most observant writers addressing the human condition today.

I first heard David Sedaris back in 1997 on This American Life and I was hooked. I've been a faithful follower since. I listen to his performances as often as I can and his books are hilarious and always on my reading list.
