Marblehead Children's Center is a preschool that serves children ages 9 months to school age. MCC offers flexible scheduling and a teacher qualified and professional staff. MCC is open all school vacation weeks and offers fun-filled summer programs.

Attend the Meet and Greet and explore the expansive facility including the infant and toddler classrooms, meet the Preschool teachers, see our gym and Imagination Blocks, expansive outdoor play area with a children's vegetable garden and learn about the supervised and safe programs offered.

We would like to Welcome Back our wonderful Creative Movement teacher Ms. Sue Ballou and her program "I like to Move it!!!" Our children have enjoyed this program for several years, the music and dance for all age groups. Sue joins us on Friday mornings.  Our preschool classrooms will begin "My Little Lingos" Spanish lessons with Vanessa Evans in September as well.  In addition to that, our Transitional Kindergarten will learn a little Mandarin Chinese from our Chinese language teacher Yan Wang.

Call today to RSVP or to schedule a tour at your convenience - 781-631-1954.

"This preschool is not like any other preschool - it's like a second family to our family. The teachers are caring, nurturing, kind and simply wonderful and share a connection with the children. Rosanne the Owner and Gail the Director along with Karen and Mary are always available to discuss any issue and offer guidance. The children are always engaged with projects and bring home artwork and other beautiful crafts they make. They learn a lot of self help skills and manners. During the year they also have a dance teacher, hip hop, Spanish and even yoga as well as an art teacher. I feel my son is safe and well taken care of and he loves it!"  Anne Browne

"We moved here about two and a half years ago from MN and I was only looking for a temporary place to put my 2 year old while we unpacked and got our lives settled here in Marblehead. My intention was to pull Bennet out when that was done (I stay home).

Well, going on almost three years and we are still there. Not only does he love his teachers (and they really are teachers and not just caregivers), he has made such wonderful friends with his classmates. It truly has been an extended family for us - Karen and Gail greet us every morning with smiles and never had I had a problem bringing him on days he's not signed up for. They care a great deal for each and every family and it's apparent.

Bennet feels loved and actually looks forward to going to school! He attends three days a week, but I'm able to bring him on his off days in the event I need to go to dr appointment or something of the like. He's learned how to write his name very recently and he just came home the other day and said hello to me in Chinese! They recently have added a mini Chinese class and the kids are riveted. I feel that it also has opened his mind to different cultures and nations - he asked me at dinner the other day what "Chinese" was and so I showed him on a map where China is and he asked what they have for dinner....etc. I'm not sure we'd even be having such discussions without him being exposed to it at MCC. He also loves the yoga classes on Fridays! He explains to me that yoga isn't just about exercise, but also learning to be still and quiet because it's good to do that sometimes. Quite a feat for an energetic young boy.

He's 4 and Miss Kelly (his amazing teacher) is teaching the kids about the seasons. This past spring they hatched butterflies and set them free. The kids really do love her - she truly is an energetic and caring teacher. I appreciate, too, that they're assertive teachers. They teach the children boundaries and address behavior issues quickly and effectively - it doesn't happen that often, but when it does it's swift. Bennet feels very safe at school.

I can't think of a single thing that I don't like about MCC. There was never and issue to transfer him to a different school. It works for us and it works for him.... If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to speak to you!" C. Tierney
