For four days in August, Thursday, August 8th to Sunday, August 11, Marblehead will celebrate it's Maritime Heritage with the Marblehead Maritime Festival! Fun exhibits and events are planned for the weekend including a classic yacht regatta, Maritime exhibits, vendors, boat builders, artists food, music, live entertainment, harbor tours and lots of great family friendly activities on and around the water!
On Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11, bring your little pirates on a maritime history-themed treasure hunt throughout the town. Collect gold “coins” from participating shops, discover fun maritime history facts, and then turn your booty in for pirate loot! Pick up your treasure map at Wit and Whimsy, Marblehead Toy Shop, Candy Pop Sweet Shoppe, or Mud Puddle Toys, and let the discoveries begin. There will also be a Maritime marketplace at state street landing.
On Sunday August 11, a community celebration will take place at Fort Sewall, where adults can enjoy a walking tours of the fort and kids can have a blast with bouncy houses and fun activities! There's also a Salty Dog Parade, and the "Marblehead Bags' Tournament!
