Big Fish Eat Little Fish at Maritime Gloucester

Minnows are young fish that haven't matured, and at the bottom of the food chain

Maritime Gloucester invites kids in pre-k through first grade to a vacation week session about the Marine Food Chain - part of a week full of educational sessions during February vacation! How do living things get their energy?  What do different types of sea animals like to eat?

Children will learn about seaweed and sea creatures, and how energy is passed through a food chain.  They will build a simple food chain by creating a variety of paper sea creatures and stringing them together.  A story about the food chain will be read as well.

  • For kids in Pre-k through 1st Grade
  • Attendees must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
