Rockport Halloween Happenings

Come to Rockport MA for Halloween Fun and Community Spirit!

Rockport Halloween Happenings is celebrating its third year with an expansion of the Halloween festivities to include Rockport PTO Pumpkin Carving and Decorating, Pumpkin Illumination in the heart of Rockport at Dock Square, and a family-friendly movie night to cap off the evening!

Rockport Halloween Happenings starts off at 11:30 am in Harvey Park with Rockport PTO Pumpkin Carving, with last carving participants allowed to start at 2:15 p.m.. After carving, students and community will bring their carved or decorated pumpkin to the staging area at the center of Dock Square. Pumpkin availability will be limited to a first come-first served basis.

From 3:30 until 5:30 p.m., Merchant Trick-or-Treating will be held Town-wide with fun and spooky music being played to get everyone in the spirit! Please note that Bearskin Neck will be closed to vehicle traffic during this time.

At sundown, the pumpkins that were carved and decorated earlier in the day will begin to illuminate the night! All are encouraged to visit this new display at Dock Square. We're mighty proud of our students and community, and want to celebrate their pumpkin carving and decorating efforts!

At 5:45 p.m., the concession stand opens at Harvey Park, with net proceeds going to Rockport's Parents and Teachers Organiaton.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., there will be an introductory short film for the littles, featuring a certain beagle and a pumpkin. Shhh...It's a secret!! Following a brief intermission, the main feature, Hocus Pocus, will start, and will wrap up the evening at about 8:15 p.m.. Make sure to bring blankets and chairs!
