This park is a hillside located on Harbor loop int he center of downtown Gloucester. Panoramic views of Gloucester Harbor, large rock tables and benches and the hillside terrain makes this a fun place to stop for a picnic lunch. Throw in a little art history while you're visiting by discussing the art of the famous artist that the park is named after. There is a large bronze statue of Fitz Hugh Lane located on a rocky ledge that makes a great photo when you strike the same pose as the statue.
This park is directly adjacent to the Coast Gaurd Station on Harbor Loop in Goucester, Ma. It offers benches and a walkway to a public landing and is a great palce to have a picnic lunch while watching activity in the inner part of Gloucester Harbor. This park is only steps from the Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center.
This great little neighborhood park, is situated at on of the most picturesque spots in all of Gloucester. It offers fairly new playgorund equipment, out door basketball and baenches that line a walkway that runs along the waters edge. Sweeping views of outer Gloucester Harbor make this a great place to observe many kinds of boat traffic, Gloucester's Ten Pound Island and the mouth of the Annisquam River.
Pavilion Beach is a great family beach located directly next to this park. It's well maintained and a great safe place to take a swim - so don't forget the beach toys!
This is the only open play area in a dense residential neighborhood. This is the natural pedestrian route to the high school. It is also adjacent to a large tract of wooded conservation land. The area has great natural beauty and wildlife that inhabit the surrounding woods and small pond located in the park.. New playground equipment was installed in 1998; this equipment was purchased and installed with a combination of City and neighborhood contributions. The pond is not suitable for swimming. The wooded areas have some informal trails, one of which leads into the Beverly Golf and Te
