This Park is the historic site of Gloucester's first settlers in 1623. Dorchestermen set up fishing stages on this land. Two beaches are located in Stage Fort Park - Cressy's Beach and Half Moon Beach . Half Moon is a sheltered sandy beach that is more like a lagoon. Cressy's Beach is a rocky, more natural beach.
Jackson Park
Jackson Park is located directly behind the Swampscott High School.
Kimball Haskell Park
The flat field is used for t-ball programs and the two tennis courts are the most heavily used courts in the city; with instructional courses offered during summer mornings. The playground is one of our favorites. This park is located near the Cove Elementary School.
Obear Park
The scenic views of the Danvers River and the natural landscaping throughout the site make it a popular destination for both the residents of Ryal Side and of the entire community. Public swimming is allowed, but there is no lifeguard on duty so you swim at your own risk.
