The Danvers Kiwanis Club and Beverly Hospital Lahey Health are hosting a Bike Rodeo to raise awareness for bicycle related injuries, allow children to test their bicycle, learn handling skills on their own bikes, and encourage increased helmet use by kids of all ages.
There will be a skills course including braking without skidding, walking the bike thru Crosswalks, waiting at Stop signs, etc. Bike and helmet fitting will be done by Beverly Hospital Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation staff. There will be safety testing stations where children will be able to test their brakes, tire pressure, gears, and tighten all nuts and bolts.
