Set sail on a full-scale replica of the famous 1812 privateer schooner FAME. FAME is a replica of a privateer schooner that sailed from Salem during the War of 1812! We sail up to five times a day between May and October from Pickering Wharf in Salem.
FAME was built in Essex by National Heritage Fellow Harold Burnham in 2003. She is a locally-owned, award-winning business that works with the Park Service, Essex Heritage, the Salem Public Schools and others to increase appreciation of Salem’s maritime history and traditions.
Ticket booth is outside the entrance to the FINZ restaurant in on Pickering Wharf in Salem Massachusetts. Tickets will be handed to the first 26 people in line at our ticket booth at 3 pm on Friday. No saving places, one ticket per person, NO EXCEPTIONS. The schooner sails at 3:30 and will return around 5:00. Dress for the weather and wear sensible shoes!
