Shalin Liu Performance Center invites you to a FREE concert at their Shalin Liu Center! Created in 2010, the Wenham Street Brass is a trio of young professionals dedicated to engaging audiences through performance and education. They are the ensemble-in-residence for A Street Music Education, a music school in Quincy, MA. With graduate degrees from the New England Conservatory, it has a wide variety of experience that reflects an interest in music of many time periods and genres.

Tennis Programs for kids and adults at Manchester Athletic Club in Manchester MA

Manchester Athletic Club Tennis Camp makes tennis fun for kids that want to get started playing tennis or want to take their game to the next level. MAC Tennis Camp uses USTA’s nationally recognized Ten and Under Tennis format for developing junior tennis players. The USTA format program gets kids playing tennis on age appropriate sized courts so that every participant can experience success.

 

Kids will learn to build fairy houses with natural materials at Lynch Park, Beve

Come to a fun filled workshop hosted by the Beverly Recreation Department! Building a fairy house is a great way for kids to be creative and learn about preserving our planet. Use twigs, rocks, shells, mulch, sand, pinecones, moss, clay and more. Children encouraged to dress like fairies! Materials included. A photographer may take pictures for parents (extra fee for pictures). Instructor: Gigi Sisman-Thomson.

Waring School Summer Art Program for Kids 5-14

ArtWorks at Waring is a long-established summer experience combining learning and fun. In the morning, children have the chance to work in depth in one of five "MAJORS": Video, Theater , Visual Arts, Circus, and Musical Theater. In the afternoon, there are elective workshops to choose from: basketball, hip-hop dance, jewelry-making, French, acting, chess, games, and other activities. We end the day with recreation and whole-group activities.

On August 1 there will be presentations of what we have created together.

Hours: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
ArtWorks Junior is for children ages 5-7 who have completed at least one year of kindergarten. This is a hands-on morning program including creative art, science and nature, music, puppetry, and story-telling. We'll take field trips & investigate the Waring campus.

Limited enrollment for either entire month or two consecutive weeks.

This week's movie FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE NIGHT at Manchester Athletic Club will feature A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures . Family Martial Arts and More brings kids ages 7-10 a summer filled with safe, fun activities!

Kids will enjoy a variety of activities designed to develop their athletic skills and will learn the fundamentals of sports and competition.
Indoor games will be provided during rainy days and bottled water, and morning and afternoon snacks are provided.

The Orchestra on the Hill will perform at Crane Estate to celebrate Spring!

The The Trustees of Reservations are hosting The Orchestra on the Hill for a Spring concert at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate! Celebrate Spring with a  delightful evening of concerto favorites performed at the beautiful Crane Castle with music by Mozart, Bach and Vivaldi.  Tickets are available at the door.

Kid's Night Out (KNO) is back at the YWCA Greater Newburyport.  Parents, relax and enjoy a well deserved night out (or in) while our highly qualified YWCA staff watch over your little munchkins (children in grades 1-3).  Their evewning at the YWCA Greater Newburyport starts with pizza, music, and activities.  Then it is on to the pool for an open swim and the evening ends with a short video.

These separate 4-day-long camps are aimed at creating well-rounded lacrosse and soccer players. In each camp we will focus on improving fundamental skills, tactical vision, strength, speed, endurance and agility. Campers will get the opportunity to work with a diverse, fun and talented staff who graduated from Waring and have played at Div. I and III NCAA levels.

Waring School Summer Music String Festival Summer Program for Kids 8-18

A one-week intensive musical experience for string players that combines practice and performance in a string orchestra as well as the joys of summer time fun.

The instructors at Waring School know that summer is an ideal time for young musicians (ages 8 to 18) to spend a rewarding week playing together in a string orchestra. Located on our beautiful 32-acre campus in Beverly, the Waring School is offering a fun-filled and educationally rich musical experience to the talented string players of the North Shore.

This one-week day camp will bring together the talents of many of the North Shore's best music teachers to present an orchestral program ideally suited to the age and level of each child. This week will culminate in a final performance for family and community.

Beverly Public Library hosts the Science and Astronomy Club every Thursday that school is in session.  The program is geared toward kids in grades 1-5 and is designed to nurture an in interest in the sciences.  This is a drop in program - no registration required!

This fun and engaging exhibit explores the world of pop-up books through an amazing array of pop-ups on display as well as hands-on opportunities for you to make your own pop-ups, be a character in a giant interactive pop-up book, and an exploration of the history and mechanics of pop-up creations.

Kids are encouraged to ride their bikes to raise money for the Pan Mass Challeng

The Pan-Mass Challenge Marblehead Kids Ride will be one of 35 PMC Kids Rides held in neighborhoods throughout New England and beyond. Through the PMC Kids Rides program, nearly 6,000 cyclists between the ages of two and 15 will ride between one and 26 miles in mini-bike-a-thons to raise money for cancer research.

Come to the 11th annual Beverly Arts Fest in Downtown Beverly! With more than 4,000 people in attendance every year, the annual Arts Fest Beverly features many attractions, lots of family entertainment and 100 plus juried artists and crafters exhibiting everything from fine art, photography, jewelry, fiber, wood, sculpture, glass, ceramics and mixed media. Artists and crafts people will represent many communities of the North Shore, many of whom are from Beverly.  Most of the work will be priced between $10 and $700 with something for everyone!
