Join watercolorist Brenda Sloane in a monthly program that combines nature and art. We will start with a walk on the sanctuary to observe the topic of the month. We will then return to the Nature Center to create a follow-up work of art.

Any season is a great time to notice nature's beauty and to make it come to life with amazing works of art! Each series offers different themes and different materials to engage every young artist's budding creativity. Sign up for one class at a time, or come for the whole series. The Peabody Essex Museum wants to get everybody drawing! All over the world people gather every October to doodle, sketch, think and share at Big Draw events. This year PEM joins the internationally acclaimed campaign, celebrated for its ambitious reach and simple goal: To get everyone drawing.

Come to the Emma Andrews Library and Community Center to enjoy a painting demonstration by local artist Anne Recchia.  A member of the Newburyport Art Association, Anne has worked for many years in watercolor and has recently started working in oils. Known for painting evocative scenes of the New England coast, her work is in many private and public collections. Join her during Clothing Drive to Benefit Wellspring for a painting demonstration, hopefully outdoors, of the facade of the Emma Andrews Library.
