Greater Newburyport Ovarian Cancer Awarness GNOCA will host the annual Lantern Festival at Downtown Newburyport. In the Asian tradition, we will remember families & friends & make wishes for the future. Come decorate, light, & float lanterns at dusk.
Come to Cherry Farm Creamery on Sunday, September 12th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm for a Sweet Paws Rescue Fundraiser! Dogs welcome! We will have merch for sale, raffles, and maybe some pups will swing by that are available for adoption.
Due to logisitics from the COVID 19 Pandemic, the Rockport Rotary Lobster Festival will be temporarily replaced with thte lighter fare of 'Brews and Burgers' for 2021. Rotarians will be grilling burgers and hotdogs for hungry attendees to purchase. Chips, corn-on-the-cob, Mexican street corn and ice cream from Richardson’s Dairy Farm will also be available. For drinks, guests may purchase beer, wine, White Claw hard seltzers, sodas and waters.
This is the 17th year of Reid's Ride 28-Mile Bike Ride. Because of social-distancing and other restriction imposed by COVID last year and continuing to this year, we have had to run this and last year's Reid's Ride as Virtual Events. Hopefully in 2022 we'll resume our traditional event as a group bike ride from Lynnfield High School to our finish line activities at Stage Fort Park Gloucester for music, refreshments, awards, raffles and booths.
The Annual Red, White & Blue Pancake Breakfast at Tuck's Point will feature live music, pony rides, a great breakfast and more at the beautiful seaside setting of Tuck's Point! The Manchester-Essex Rotary Club invites families to enjoy pancakes topped with strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream, scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, coffee, milk, and juice! There will be pony rides, music and an opportunity to get out and celebrate the 4th for a good cause to raise funds for scholarships and food banks. The Yukan Run Triple Threat Race Series is a half marathon, 5K and 1 mile race. There's something for everyone in the race series - serious runners, kids, enthusiasts and even walkers are invited to race! Proceeds from the races go to local charities like The Open Door. Sign up for one or all three races, it will be a great morning filled with healthy fun!
The 1st LT Derek Hines Soldiers Assistance Fund is hosting the Virtual 10th Annual Flag Day 5K road race. The 5K walk, run, or jog can be completed anytime, anywhere between June 10th - June 14th on your favorite 5K trail near you. We look forward to having you all join us virtually this year as we continue to honor 1st LT Derek Hines and provide financial assistance for Massachusetts’ soldiers, and their families, who have incurred serious, career ending, and life altering injuries while on active duty.
